Is this teaching biblical?
Wagner Ribeiro teaches his followers to 'reprogram' their spirits — language borrowed directly from self-help psychology and neuro-linguistic programming, not from Scripture. The Bible never speaks of the human spirit as a computer to be 'reprogrammed.' Scripture teaches that spiritual transformation comes through regeneration by the Holy Spirit (being 'born again'), not through human technique or mental reprogramming. This is the fatal error of the self-help gospel: it makes man the agent of his own spiritual transformation, when Scripture repeatedly declares that only God can give a new heart and a new spirit.

What does Scripture actually teach?
Ezekiel 36:26-27
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them."
— NKJV
God says 'I WILL give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.' The agent is GOD, not the individual. You do not 'reprogram' yourself — God transforms you. The language is surgical ('take out... give'), not technical ('reprogram'). Ribeiro's self-help framework puts the human in the driver's seat of spiritual transformation, which belongs to God alone.
John 3:5-6
"Jesus answered, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.'"
— NKJV
Jesus teaches that spiritual transformation is a BIRTH — being 'born of the Spirit.' You cannot 'reprogram' a birth. You cannot technique your way into regeneration. That which is born of the flesh (human effort, self-help, reprogramming) is flesh. Only that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Ribeiro substitutes the sovereign work of the Holy Spirit with a self-help method.
Romans 12:2
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
— NKJV
Paul speaks of 'renewing' the mind — but the context is submission to God's will, not self-directed reprogramming. The Greek 'metamorphoo' (transformed) describes a fundamental change wrought by God, like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. It is not a software update. The 'renewing' happens through the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, not through purchased courses on how to 'reprogram' yourself.
Philippians 1:6
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
— NKJV
The good work is begun and completed by GOD — 'He who has begun... will complete.' The believer's sanctification is God's project, not a self-improvement program. Ribeiro's 'reprogram your spirit' places the responsibility on the individual to fix themselves. Paul says God does the work. The believer cooperates through obedience, prayer, and Scripture — not through 'reprogramming' techniques borrowed from secular psychology.
